How to Apply at WPSD

A fingerprint background check through the FBI will be required of every new employee.

STEP 1

Applicant files must be complete before a screening interview will be arranged. A completed file consists of:

  1. A completed online application. Click to view available positions and start the application process.
  2. Uploaded resume, cover letter, and copy of official transcripts.
  3. Reference letters can also be uploaded.

**Please do not mail copies of your resume, cover letter, transcripts, certificate, or any college credential files.**

STEP 2

The Human Resources Office will contact selected applicants to schedule a screening interview.

STEP 3

Candidates will be selected and scheduled for additional interviews. Candidates are chosen for finalist interviews by building level and Human Resources Office administrators.

STEP 4

The names of candidates recommended for employment will be placed before the Board of Education for final approval. Please contact us at (816) 640-2236 with any questions or concerns.

All teachers in the West Platte School District are required to be certified teachers by the State of Missouri. Information regarding certification may be obtained from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at (573) 751-0051.
